Moya was sick first part of April. On the night she vomited I had to give her a quick second bath.. for obvious reasons. At the time I thought nothing of it but apparently it scared her! For weeks afterwards every time I took her into the bathroom for her bath she was start crying hysterically! :( This was really devastating because her bath time is our special time. Our normal routine is to go in and she shuts the door and we both say "Uh-oh!" and I'd finish by saying "uh-oh it's Moya/Mommy time!" And she'd smile and giggle. We have such fun with her bath times! It was so sad that now it was a trauma for her!
The first few times after the vomit episode I had to REALLY work at it to keep her entertained in the bath and our baths were very short. After a week or so it got to the point that once I got her in and got her laughing she would be fine as long as I kept her engaged. Then after another week or so she would only cry while I got her in but then was fine. But now... YAY!! No tears at all!! We are back to liking our bath and the phobia is over. Now it is smiles and "uh-oh" and all good. sigh.... so relieved. And next time she vomits I'm going to keep this in mind. Even if it means sitting with a smelly baby I'm going to wait until she's calm before bathing her.

Sick
But... by the next afternoon she was much improved! Never got the fever or diarrhea. By Saturday her appetite started to come back. Unfortunately by end of the day Sunday she was starting to develop a snotty nose but I'll take snot over vomit any day!
I hate it when my kids are sick! But it is extra hard when you can't even explain to them why they are feeling like this, why you can't just make it stop, and tell them that they WILL get better. :( I just feel so desperate for them when they are little and sick.

Finaly Over Ickiness!
Moya has been struggling with an illness for like 3 weeks now! Snot, coughing a lot, pittiful.
FINALY the last time I took her to the doctor they said she had a sinus infection and gave her antibiotics. I was sooo glad. Don't get me wrong I don't like giving her drugs. But come on! 3 weeks and not better at all... in fact WORSE!! Time to try something. And sure enough, within a few days of the medicine she had turned the corner! YAY! Now she seems to be all better. Well kids are awesome. :)

Aaah... Motherhood
Moya has been ill... cough and snot and all that lovely horribleness. Well the cough has a side effect of causing her to vomit sometimes. Last night she started coughing weird in her sleep. We go in and I pick her up and ta-da I get vomited on.... covered. It's funny how after the first bad diaper, the first phlegm filled spew, the handful of... god knows what, your kid hands you... ya just end up not being grossed out by it all any more. I held her in the bathroom while she vomited all down my back. My biggest worry at the time was "oh dear she got vomit on Belle's bath toys... gotta remember to clean those or Belle will freak out." :)
Anyway, poor baby was SOOO unhappy vomiting. Not that anyone enjoys it. But we got her cleaned up, I changed and washed most of the vomit off me, and I got her back to bed. Curled up with her on the mattress in her room and watched her like a time bomb hoping she wouldn't blow up again. She didn't thankfully.
Hopefully this nastiness will go away soon.

Sick Baby

Moya caught the ickiness that we have all been passing around. She seems to have a milder case of it but still not good. I've suctioned some nasty stuff from her poor little nose. But the worse part is that she does these long crying fits where nothing you can do will calm her. She just looks up at you screaming with these eyes that say "Why won't you help me!?" :( Heartbreaking!

Constipation and Headaches (WARNING: To Much Information Post!)
If you can't tell by the title this post is about poop... or lack there of. So if you are easily grossed out or don't want to think about such thinks... skip this one.
Aside from the nausea and fatigue and just over all blah feeling I have every afternoon and evening I have also been very constipated. Which is a pain in the... well you can guess.
Monday, nothing. Tuesday, nothing. Wednesday I decided to try my only resource for relief... a ton of fruit and a Jamba Juice. I've been trying to stay away from those since, while good in vitamins and fiber... its a lot of sugar too. But come on.. I need to poop! And it isn't like I can take a pill for it.
Well it did the trick... Thursday I finally went. Not to be gross but good lord I felt 10 pounds lighter!
We'll see how things go from here on out but I might have to have a Jamba Juice a week to at least uh... cleanse the ole pipes. Kinda like drain-o for the pregnant lady.
The other problem has been headaches. Now I get migraines sometimes normally so I am use to them to some degree... but normally I can also dope up with tons of drugs when I get one. With Belle she actually temporarily cured my headaches. But this baby is just the opposite so far. Apparently the pregnancy hormones are not setting well with my head. Several days now I've been getting massive headaches that make me even more qweezy and miserable. Tylenol does zip for them too. I've tried an ice pack with little help. Heat helps a tiny bit but not enough.
I use to take a B complex to help with my head and it worked great! So I called my doctor and talked to a nurse about it. She said to bring in my B Complex vitamins Monday when I'm there for a blood draw and they would look at what all was in it and make sure it is all safe. In the meantime I can take up too 200 mg of B-6 a day. So I got some B-6 vitamins that are 50 mg and am starting by only taking one a day to see if that helps.
So far it might be doing the trick. I've not had a bad headache the last few days. A couple times I've had a tiny one or a start of one but nothing like I was having. So here is hoping that the B-6 is doing the job. The nurse also said B-6 helps with nausea... to that I say "HA!"

Sick
There should be law... you cannot get sick while pregnant.
We all got hit with a bad cold this weekend... yes Memorial Day weekend, three days off and we spend it sick.
I was okay Saturday morning but by saturday afternoon I was flat out from it. On top of that I saturday and sunday I started having a brownish, with a tiny bit of pink discharge that got me worried. I caleld saturday and the doctor on call said it sounded normal and that unless I saw blood or it got a lot worse that I should be fine to make it to my appointment on thrusday.
But in the meantime I can't breath, am making enough snot to drown a horse, and feel dreadful.
