Second Lost Tooth!

Okay this tooth was a punk! It just would not come out. It was so painful that she couldn't sleep well and was afraid to eat or brush teeth. Yesterday I even had called the dentist because the tooth was gray and the gum looked red and swollen. They set an appointment for her for today at 3pm. But finally it came out while at auntie's ... Unfortunately it disappeared! Moya says the tooth fairy took it but did later admit to swallowing it. :) We shall see is it turns up. .. Eeeww.

I'm just glad she doesn't have that pain anymore. And now she looks like. Hockey player and has a lisp. :)

First Lost Tooth!

Someone lost her first tooth! Bottom front right one. We noticed it starting to get loose but then yesterday it was just bam! SOOOO looose. I can't believe she didn't lose it last night. But it hung on till today. She was eating an apple this evening and when she finished she said "Look I finished my apple" I said "Where's your tooth?"... not because I thought it was gone but because I've been checking it every time she eats anything. She pointed to her mouth and said "it's still here." But no it wasn't! I said "no Moya your tooth is gone!" And thus we began looking for it. :) Luckily it was easy to find laying on the brown throw rug in the living room by her car toys.

She was so excited! We bought her a little toothfairy box to put it in to place under her pillow. She wanted to do it so I let her. So cute her putting it under her pillow all excited.

And I think this is just the first of many to come. Her other bottom front and her top two teeth are all a bit loose. We could be hearing a seriously lisp soon. :)

*sniff* can't believe my little baby is already losing teeth!!

4 Molars at Once!!

The other night I was brushing Moya's teeth after bath and she flinched and said "ouch!" I took her to the changing table to get her dressed and looked in her mouth and sure enough... not 1, not 2, but all 4 of her molars are coming in! All in various states of breaking through but all visible. Bless her little heart that has got to hurt! No wonder she hasn't been sleeping well and has been a little bit of a grump during the day recently.
Needless to say I broke out the oragel and have the motrin on standby.
On the plus side at least after these come in she'll be done until she's a big kid. :)

Teeth # 9 And 10!

Moya has been drooling like mad lately but I hadn't seen any new teeth. So tonight in the bath I took a closer look and realized why I had not seen the new teeth... they were not in the order I had expected them too. I figured the ones next to the teeth she already has would be next but they weren't. Instead her little mouth decided she needed some chewing teeth so she's getting some back ones first. They look so big in her tiny mouth!

I Broke the Baby... First Trip to the Dentist

... I broke the baby. :( We were sitting together the other day and she just lunged forward and hit her face on the metal bar of her little playpen thing. She didn't hurt herself badly at all except that she chipped one of her teeth! :( I freaked and called the dentist. He was really nice and said no self respecting kid doesn't chip a tooth at some point. He asked a bunch of questions about her tooth, all of which my answers to were good. Meaning it sounded like the only real damage to her was superficial. As luck would have it Belle had an appointment for a cleaning the following Monday so he said to bring Moya along and he would file the tooth to make it smooth.

So on Monday I took the girls in and after Belle's cleaning Doctor Dave filed down Moya's tooth. He assured me it doesn't hurt but but she cried a little because she had to be constrained and it was a funny feeling to have that sandpaper on her tooth. After she and Belle both got tooth brushes and big smiles... and no more shaggy chipped tooth! :)

Third Tooth

I'm not sure when to date this one so I picked the 14th. About a week ago Moya was having rough days. Crying, sweating, drooling, unhappy but nothing would calm her. When I got home I was dealing with her and noticing how she was wanting to chew on me. So I did some investigating and with a flashlight and a close look finally saw a little white tooth beneath the gum. It is her upper left one. It's still not broken through yet but it is there, annoying the heck out of her.
Poor baby. I know that must hurt really bad. I remember those big front ones really annoying Belle too. Luckily we have orajel and Tylenol for the really bad days, chew toys for the rest. :)

Second Tooth!

So yesterday Moya sprouted her first tooth, and today... BAM! Tooth number two!! I couldn't believe it! Two teeth in two days. My baby seems to be in a hurry to grow up.

Tooth 2 hasn't broke the gum just yet. It is right under the surface. So she's chewing all the time. Poor baby.

But pretty soon we'll have a little toothy grin looking up at us.

I was giving Moya a bath tonight and notices something in her mouth. I rubbed my finger on her gum and sure enough... a little tooth!!! Lower front left! What a big girl!
