Sonic

Belle loves Sonic and Moya has become a fan thanks to her big sissy. :) She calls him "Soic" which sounds a lot like "suck." But she LOVES Sonic and has coveted all of Belle's toys. For Christmas Gaga got her her own plush Sonic which she does love, but she still really really wants to play with Belle's plastic action figure Sonic toys. The problem is that they are very poorly made toys. They break into small pieces very easily. Belle has a hard time not breaking them with many of them now being more super glue then plastic. So we just can't let Moya play with them.

Well last night Belle left all of them in the toy basket in the bathroom. I took Moya in to take her bath and she went right to them yelling 'sonic!' and picked them up and sat down to play with them. I just couldn't say no. I let her play with a few of them in the bath... HIGHLY supervised of course. Oh my goodness she was in heaven! She would splash them in the water yelling "SONIC!!" or she would hold two up up and have them dance around as she sung the Sesame street song. She would kiss them and giggle with them and every few minutes look at me and say "tank ooo!" (thank you) It was absolutely precious! I told her not to tell Belle that it was our secret. :) I don't know if she knew she was getting away with something naughty or not but she definitely knew it was a treat. :) And none of them got broken or eaten. :)

4 Molars at Once!!

The other night I was brushing Moya's teeth after bath and she flinched and said "ouch!" I took her to the changing table to get her dressed and looked in her mouth and sure enough... not 1, not 2, but all 4 of her molars are coming in! All in various states of breaking through but all visible. Bless her little heart that has got to hurt! No wonder she hasn't been sleeping well and has been a little bit of a grump during the day recently.

Needless to say I broke out the oragel and have the motrin on standby.

On the plus side at least after these come in she'll be done until she's a big kid. :)

Santa 2010

Took the girls to see Santa. So sweet seeing them both sitting there. Moya wore a dress that use to belong to Belle. I thought that would be special. She wasn't freaked out by Santa just not sure what was going on. :)

Snowcream

Moya tried snow cream for the first time and loved it! So cute!!

Reorganizing the Pantry

Moya loves to eat and loves to forage and root. The pantry is thus her favorite toy box. :) She loves to take everything out and nibble as she goes.

Walking

Check out my girl walking! I'm SO proud of her. She is just getting better and better every day! Warms my heart. :)

Don't Wake The Baby

Moya had a rough night but had to get up to go over to Auntie's. So I had to wake her up. Poor baby did NOT like mommy annoying her with the camera. :) I swer she's just the cutest thing ever! Even when sleepy and grumpy.

Playing in her favorite spot

So Moya has a spot in her room that she loves. It's in the corner with her bookshelf and toys. She can sit there for the longest time digging out toys and pulling down all the books and looking through them. It's so cute. She really seems to like books... okay she likes to eat them and draw in them but she also seems genuinly interested in them for their pictures and stories too. :)

Progress!

Moya is really really doing well in her therapy. She is walking a lot more, better balance, and I can't remember the last time I saw her flop down. She now squats and stands up without holding onto anything and can walk pretty far all on her own!

She's still pretty wobbly but is getting stronger and stronger! :)

Nice Hello

I came home a little late last night. Gaga had just started Moya's bath. I come in and Moya sees me and points at me and does the grabby hand motion and says "Mommy! Mommy! Mine!" I take over the bath and she's reaching for me saying "Kiss! Hug! AAAAAW!!" So I give her a couple kisses and hug her, soapy head and all. She was so glad to see me it was so very sweet. Warmed my heart. :)

Halloween 2010

Awesome costumes this year! Belle was Sonic and Moya was Yoda. She probably would have rather been Elmo but I figured this would probably be the last year I got to pick her outfit. :) They were so cute. We went to Redmond Town Center first and then around the neighborhood. Moya got tired so she only went for a few houses and then Daddy took her home.

She enjoyed the chocolate! haha! :)

Yoda!

So this will probably be the last year I'll get to pick her Halloween costume so Daddy and I went for Yoda. Mostly because of how she "Yoda's" in her toy bins. :) So it came in the mail today and we had to try it on! Somethign about Yoda sitting there with a pacifier in 'his' mouth is super super cute!

She and Belle then played lightsabers together.

Pumpkin Patch

Took my pumpkins to the pumpkin patch! Poor Belle was so sick we only stayed a very short time. But we had fun and Moya loved sitting on the pumpkins. She looks so beautiful.

We picked out a bunch of pumpkins and then got poor sissy home to rest. :)

"Braaaaains...."

Moya has had a bad cold or something... high fever, very not good. Well she was sitting at the table eating and totally zoning out. Brad and I were going to go to work for a bit and Brad commented on her being a zombie baby and said "let us know if she starts saying brains." And right on cue she says "Brwaaaains."

Physical Therapy Starts

Today was Moya's first physical therapy seasson. She really liked Carrie her therapist and had a good first day. Carrie showed me some games to play with Moya to help her learn to squat and stand to build her muscles. We also talked about some special shoe inserts to help her ankles.

Moya seemed to view the entire thing as a play date so that was good. She was however really tired afterwards! :) Definitely a work out!

I'm hopeful that this will help her.

Utinsel Use

Moya has learned to use her spoon for her cereal. Now she still prefers her fingers but it's a new thing so she likes to try the utinsels too. :)

Moya is learning to use her spoon and fork and doing really really well! She loves to eat Cheerios with milk from a little bowl with her sppon. It's so insanely cute!

Silly Shirt

Moya has taken to wanting to pull her shirt off at the table. Today she only got halfway and seemed to like it there! :)

Feeding the Cats

The other day I had given Moya her breakfast on her highchair tray and then went into the kitchen for something. I then hear her saying "Where you go?!" I think she's talking to me so I look over and she's leaning over her tray with a hand full of food in hand looking around the floor for the cat saying "Where you go?!" She then sees Koo Si and says "There you are!" and drops the food on the floor for Koo Si to eat up. :)

Bert and Ernie

Moya was playing with her Bert and Ernie and having them kiss. She would even do the sound effects "MOOOWA!"

.... I guess their relationship is obvious even to the youngest viewers. :)

Pigtails!

I think I found the perfect hairstyle for Moya... something that fits her personality and looks good... PIGTAILS!!!! :) They are cute and scream "I'm a sweetheart AND a stinker!" That's my Momo!

More Walking!

Tonight was awesome. I was sitting with Moya and having her walk to me. She walked about 4 steps to me 3 times! I was yelling "yay!" and clapping, Belle heard me from her room and came running asking if Moya was walking. We told her yes so she asked to see. I told her Moya may not do it again cause she was getting tired but I was wrong! I told Belle to see if Moya would come to her and she did! Moya walked the farthest she's gone yet, walking from me to her sister. Belle just freaked out she was so excited. She gave Moya so many hugs and kisses Moya started grumpin at her! :)

Moya just loves her sister so it is no surprise that she would walk to her without any hesitation.

First Little Steps

Moya finally took a few timid little steps Saturday September 18th at around 9pm. :) I was playing with her and stood her a few feet away from me and she took a few scooting little steps. She did it a few times!

She did it again on Sunday and at her physical therapy evaluation on monday. Alysa said she also did some today too!

I'm so excited to see her finally start to test her legs out for walking, not just crawling and climbing. :)

"Meme"

Moya knows I want her to call me Mommy more then she does so she won't do it just to get to me. :) But that time has now seemed to have passed and not only does she call me by name she has given me a very sweet nickname. I'm Meme!! :) I walk in the other night from work and the moment I open the door I hear "Meme!!" If she is looking for me it's "Meme?!" I just love it sooooo much! And it's such a Moya thing to give me a sweet little name.

Milk is Fun

Moya loves food. Not only is it yummy but it's great fun! She's a horrible mess of course but at least she's enjoying herself!

Bubbles

Gaga's computer has a screensaver that is bubbles... Moya LOVES it! She will see her computer and yell "bubbles!!" then she blows at the screen to make them go away. It's become a ritual at night for her to get to blow the bubbles on Gaga's computer.

Belly Button

Moya discovered her belly button and so now loves to show her belly and poke it. So very sweet.

Water Gun Fun

We played outside with the water guns today. Moya wanted to shoot Belle with her's but just kept shooting herself in the face! :)

Carseat Joy

So after the car sickness trip to the zoo I had to take the car seat out and dismantle it in order to put the cover in the wash. I decided maybe it was time to switch it to forward facing. Legally we could have done so after she turned 1 but it is safer refacing so we've kept it like that. But is it really safe to have her vomiting when in the car more then 30 minutes? I don't think so.

Her first trip in the car seat after it was switched around was a short drive to the store. But oh my goodness you'd of thought we were on a roller coaster at Disneyland! She truly went "Weeeeee!!!!" All the way there and back, looking around and smiling. It was hilarious. I think this may be the cure for her loathing of long car drives (and by long I mean anything over 20 minutes).

And just look at my two pretty girls! :) I also prefer her seated this way because I can see both of them better and reach around to tickle toes while stopped at stoplights. :)

First Zoo Trip

Not our most successful trip to the zoo but still had a good time. The trip started with us heading out and finding the bridge was closed. So we had to go the long way and there was a lot of traffic. Moya doesn't do well in long drives and about 3 miles from the zoo she vomited from car sickness.
Luckily I had a change of clothing. We pulled over and I took her into a store to the bathroom to clean her up. We decided to keep on and go to the zoo.

I think it was just an off day because Belle was in a constant mood as well. But we still managed to have fun. Moya really seemed to like the birds and the petting zoo part, and riding around on mommy's shoulders pulling my hair. :)

Cookie Beater

Moya LOVES my chocolate chip cookies. She also loves to lick the beaters when I make the dough. She will start getting excited when she hears the hand blender start to go!

After she licks it clean she will wave it at me and say "again! again!" :)
