Stolen Toy

This is more about Hissy-Wiskers then Moya but I have got to record it so since it is about one of Moya's toys I'll put it here. :)

Moya has a little plush toy of the character Pink the starfish from Finding Nemo. She likes it but it's not really a favorite toy of her's. But not long after we brought home the two new cats, Hissy and Grimsby we found out that it IS someone's favorite toy! Hissy... LOVES this thing! She actually has stolen a few of Moya's small stuffed toys before but this one is her favorite. We started by finding it in weird places, like under the dinning room table. Then I saw her with it. Hilarious seeing this little kitten with a toy over half her size in her mouth running through the house with it. Now she is bigger and able to tote it along easier. I keep trying to get a picture but the moment she sees me she drops it. Will keep trying. :)

We had been at first taking it away from her but now it's like, why even try. :) Moya doesn't seem to mind and Hissy is just so happy with it. :)

Sweet Moment

Last night I had my late classes. I didn't get home till 9:30. Moya was tired and ready for bed so I took her in and read her a story. We hadn't been in there long and I was laying next to her about to read the second book and she is looking at me all sweet and smiling and says just out of the blue, "Mommy I'm so glad you are home." Melted my heart right to pieces. I loved it not just because she is cute and lovey but because it was so genuine. She obviously by her face and how she said it had just been looking at me and was really feeling that. It was worth a thousand I love yous.

I gave her a big hug and kiss and told her I was so happy to be home with her too. :)

Bathtime Stinkerness

To save time I had Belle and Moya bath together tonight. Belle always grumps but then ends up having fun. At one point Moya is plugging Belle's nose and telling her "Hold your breath and go under water." She starts to try and push Belle's head in the water. I tell her "Moya no we don't push anyone's head under water. If Belle wants to she may but we don't push." Moya looks at me and says "Oh. Okay." Moya then turns to Belle and whispers "Belle... you have to do it." She didn't think I was listening which it made it even funnier.

Nemo Mural... (that never ends!)

Moya loves the movie Nemo... not as much as Cars but it's close! :) Well she said she wanted Nemo on her wall in her room. I told her we could do that! So began what would become a never ending mural project. :) It started out I thought Gaga and I would paint the coral reef and the main characters; Nemo, Marlin, Dory, couple of Nemo's school buddies, maybe the turtles. Oh and the jellyfish... Moya was clear she wanted the Jellies. :)

So we got it going, although not fast enough for Miss. Mo. I did the base of the reef and the Jellies first which she loved! She then asked to paint some herself and did her version of Crush and Squirt. She was so proud of it... so was I.

Next I painted Nemo and Dory and Marlin. Gaga painted Sheldon, Tad, and Pink (Perl...  but Moya calls her Pink). This is where things got more involved. Moya then asked for Mr. Ray. Okay no problem. Then it was all the fish in Nemo's school class. Oookay. then of course I needed to do Crush and Squirt. Done and done. Then it was "Oh Crush needs his friends!" More turtles. Oh and then the sharks. :) It became sort of expected that every day she would go over to Auntie's she would come home and ask "What did you paint today?"

Once I started school she seemed to understand we couldn't paint every day. Plus we had painted most everyone!! Although it was interesting she did not want us to paint the Tank Gang. She loves them but they aren't in the ocean they were in the tank so she didn't want them painted with the others. I even asked her several times if she wanted them. But nope!

The last thing I painted (so far) was Mikey from Monster's Inc. in a flippers and a snorkel as seen in the end credits. She didn't ask for him but I thought it'd be a nice touch and she liked it. :)

I'm just glad she didn't want Cars! Her wall isn't that big! Plus I'm horrible at drawing cars. :) Anyway... it turned out nice and she loves it. She talks to her fish most nights.
