Halloween 2009

Moya's first Halloween! We had a good time showing Moya the nuttiness that is Halloween. She was very VERY weirded out by Mommy's appearance. Not scared, she knew it was me but was very confused. She would just stare and stare at me. She had fun, although at this age all she really could do was watch. :) Next year should be awesome seeing them walking around together!

Mommy-itus (aka Speration Anxiety)

Yep... we have reached that ever so lovely phase where Mommy feels very loved and very horrible all at the same time. Moya has started freaking out when I leave her at her Nanny's, in Gaga or Daddy's arms, in her play saucer, swing, or in any way leave her line of sight. Basically if I'm not holding her she is very unhappy.


This would be bad enough as it is but Moya also has a hidden talent. Not only is she one of the cutest babies ever to grace the planet. Not only does she have a smile that envelops her entire face and lights up a room. But she also can make the most impressively pitiful faces when she cries! I mean all babies look pitiful when they cry but Moya is like some freaky genius, gifted baby when it comes to it! She can bust out with the crocodile tears and the red eyes and the furrowed brown and pouty lip in just the right way to make your heart break out of your chest and run screaming from the room as it melts into a puddle on the floor. Seriously... if pitiful was a superpower... Moya would be Superman.

I love that she loves me so much and wants to be with me. But it is just gut wrenching to see her so upset. I will be so glad when this phase is over.

She also will make it very clear to you that she wants me to hold her and not anyone else. If I am holding her she may wave and smile at Daddy or Gaga or whoever is around. But if they make a move to take her from me, she pushes their hand away and turns and clutches onto me in a big baby hug. I love it I must admit. And if someone else is holding her she may be very happy in their arms until I walk in the room, then she will practically dive out of their arms towards me. :)

So the crying and being upset when I'm gone I hope for her sake ends soon, but I do love being loved.

Clapping

Daddy taught Moya how to clap. Now she does it all the time. It is so super cute too! She will look up at you for approval when she does it as well. Of course we clap with her and smile so she knows we are proud of her. So sweet.

One time in the car Brad had given Belle his iphone to watch some of Nightmare Before Christmas on. Moya was looking over and watching it with Belle. The part in the begining after their Halloween party where they all clap, Moya say that and smiled and started clapping too! Now any time she sees someone clap or even just say "Yay!!" she will start applauding.

8th Tooth

More teeth for eating yummy food!

Koo Si

Isis will sort of let Moya grab her and pet her. She likes the attention even if it is kinda painful and there is a risk of being eaten. But Koo Si isn't so brave. She is curious of Moya but also terrified. This picture is about as close as Koo Si will get to Moya.

First Halloween Costume

The plan this year was for Belle to be Jack Skellington, Mommy would be Sally, and Moya would be Sally's little black kitty.

So we got Moya the cutest little kitty outfit we could find. And of course the thing barely fit her! :) But it'll make it to Halloween.

9 Month Well Checkup

Got another shot but she handled it like a pro! Barely cried.

She's hanging around the 20 pound mark now which her doctor said she probably would, most babies that are born big will level out at some point. She is still a big baby but a healthy one! :)

Peek-a-Boo with Belle

Belle started playing peek-a-boo with Moya in the play pin. Moya just laughed and laughed! After the video I took Belle said she would teach me how to do it. But obviously it was something that was much funnier when Belle did it because all I got was a little 'heh' from Moya. :)

Tooth Number 7!

This one just snuck up there! Didn't really see it coming just bam! new toothy! :)

Messy

Moya is typically pretty tidy when it comes to eating. She wants every bit in her mouth. But on occasion she likes to play with it.

Bounce!

Belle was bouncing around the living room and Moya kept imitating her. SOOO cute. Moya just lights up when she sees her sister.

First Trip to Pumpkin Patch

This year was a special trip to the pumpkin patch because it was Moya's first time! She seemed to enjoy it and we got her a pumpkin just for her.

Ordering

We grabbed some lunch at JJ's on the way to the pumpkin patch. Moya sat for the first time in a high chair at the restaurant. She insisted on having one of the menus and kept pointing at things as if she wanted to order. Unfortunately mommy was a spoil sport and had brought her food.

Funny Hair

When Moya was born I saw all that hair and figured by her first birthday she'd have hair down to her knees. But instead she has this long baby fuzz and then this shorter new hair under that. So of course mommy has to put the baby fuzz up into a little ponny tail on our head. :)
