Pat Pat Pat

I'm not sure how she learned it, or maybe it is just a born personality trait, but Moya pats. Whenever we pick her up and she is happy you did so she will pat you on the back or on your face. She pats her toys, she'll pat your arm, she'll even pet the cat if she can get close enough to them. Pat pat pat, it's so sweet.

The Laugh

This was just awesome. The video doesn't do it justice but it was so funny seeing Moya laugh like this.

What happen was we were playing a game Belle got for Christmas called Guesstures where you have a few seconds to act out a word for your partner to guess. Well it was my turn to act out and the word was "down." So I'm standing up and then flopping down and suddenly I hear this raspy chuckling laugh. Moya is just crackin up! So Gaga grabbed her camera and Belle and I started reenacting it. She just loved us flopping up and down at her!

First Christmas (2009)

Moya's first Christmas!! Yay!!!

The pictures say it all... she loved it! I love watching her with exciting things that are all new to her. She didn't know what to make of the packages to unwrap or the presents under the tree but she quickly learned it was a good thing. Belle played Santa and handed out gifts. Moya's favorites were a little piano Santa gave her and a toy phone. The piano was hilarious. You'd push a key and it would start a song and she'd get her trademark smile on and start boogying!

She also liked all the Christmas food goodies. She had cookies and fudge and of course the turkey dinner.

Shinny Bell

We have this Christmas bell that I believe Anna gave us one year. It's very nice but not exactly baby proof. But Moya LOVES it. We eventually had to stop letting her play with it because she managed to get the ball out of it but oh the smiles we'd get while she could ring it!

... we got her a baby proof bell of her own. :)

Santa 2009

Moya's first time meeting Santa. We took her to the same one we first took Belle too and she gave almost the exact same look Belle did! She was fascinated with his beard and kept patting it while looking at him as if to say "who, or what, are you!?" Still, no crying! YAY! :) And the girls looked just super cute in their outfits.

Moya and Her Spoon

She has teeth, a strong bite, and now she knows how to use them! Moya figured out what happens when she clamps down on her spoon. She will take the bite of food and then rip the spoon out of my hand and shake her head around, spoon in mouth, smiling in delight at her achievement. ... She also managed the get the bowl a few times too... mess ensued.

Kitty

Moya loves Isis! And I think the feeling is more or less mutual. It always seems like Isis is annoyed by the petting but she keeps coming back for more!

The other night Moya was crying her eyes out and Isis starting crying and coming up and kissing Moya and then yelling at me as if to say "Fix your baby!"

I think when Moya gets older Isis may end up being her kitty. :)... Koo Si on the other hand is scared to death of Moya. haha

Teeth # 9 And 10!

Moya has been drooling like mad lately but I hadn't seen any new teeth. So tonight in the bath I took a closer look and realized why I had not seen the new teeth... they were not in the order I had expected them too. I figured the ones next to the teeth she already has would be next but they weren't. Instead her little mouth decided she needed some chewing teeth so she's getting some back ones first. They look so big in her tiny mouth!

Sleeping On Daddy

Daddy is comfy. On more then one occasion I have sat Moya down next to Daddy to come back and find her like this. So amazingly sweet. :) When she was smaller we use to call Daddy her favorite chair, now I think he is her favorite pillow.

Christmas Lights

So I thought having a string of lights on the railing behind the sofa would look pretty and be nice. Moya agreed but it is more then a little bit of a distraction. See Moya LOVES the pretty lights. I'd hold her and she'd wiggle around to be over my shoulder and pull and play and stair at the lights. These photos do not do justice to how pretty the lights shining on her face is.

Gargling

My baby gargles. I was giving her a bath the other night and she was purposefully getting some water in her mouth and then laying back and gargling! I told Brad about it and he just shrugged and said, oh yeah she does that with her spit too. I'd not noticed before but after he told me that I took note and sure enough my little spit maker gargles her spit too!

What a weirdo. :)

Happy Dance

Moya has this cute little dance she does whenever she likes something. It's this little boogie shake thing. She does it if she when music plays like she's dancing, she does it if she likes the food you give her or something she sees. The cutest times are when she just wakes up from her nap. I walk in and she catches sight of me and does her little dance. She's normaly flipped onto her tummy so her dance is more like she's trying to swim but she does it with her massive smile. So sweet!

Tree Farm

Another first for Moya. We went to pick out our Christmas tree. We had fun and got to ride in the tractor wagon on the way back.

When we got home we put up the tree and Moya was enthralled. She particularly loved the Angel that goes on the top of the tree. :)

Belle let her play with her Rudolf which she also liked.

Swing

Moya absolutely LOVES to swing. She would be happy to be in her swing all day every day! :) She is barely big enough to sit in her chair but still she loves it.

Cookie!

Moya loves food and she loves her cookies! They are called Mum-Mums and she just LOOOOVES them. What I find amusing about them is that the package says "Mess free!" What a bunch of crap that is! :) Sure they are mess free if your baby doesn't slobber all over them till they turn to mush and then spread the mush everywhere. But show me a baby that won't do that! :) Regardless they apparently are tasty because she would eat them constantly if we let her. She also likes to share them. And by share I mean shove them into your face and mouth until you have no other choice but indulge her.

Thanksgiving

First Thanksgiving! Our little turkey had some turkey too! We joked that while Belle is only now starting to enjoy Thanksgiving (having dubbed it before as the holiday that's just about a bunch of stupid food), Moya however will probably call this her favorite holiday. :)

For her dinner I took some of the turkey and stuffing and blended it all up for her. She yummed it up! This kid will eat anything! She also tried pumpkin cookies and apple pie.... and fudge... just a little. :)

Sisters

I don't even really remember the story behind taking these photos but I love them. These are my girls. They are sweet and beautiful and wonderful and I can't imagine my life without them. I hope they stay close as they grow up. I know they'll be a terror to deal with but I don't mind. I can't wait to see the fun things they do together.

Hair

Moya's hair is beautiful. Very different from her sister's but also beautiful. She was born with a ton of hair but it was a baby fin type of hair. None of it fell out but instead of it getting longer right away like Belle's did, she instead started growing more hair under the baby hair. This resulted in a very thick head of hair. It is still super duper soft but shorter. The style when dry reminds me of the in vogue dos of the 1920s. It has a natural wave to it that gives it lovely little flips and waves. Mommy however cannot help but to style it funny after baths. :)

Morning Play

Morning routine; Get up, get Belle to school, come home and play with Moya in her room for awhile. If it is a day she goes over to Alysa's this is our special play time.... actually it is either way. :)

I Broke the Baby... First Trip to the Dentist

... I broke the baby. :( We were sitting together the other day and she just lunged forward and hit her face on the metal bar of her little playpen thing. She didn't hurt herself badly at all except that she chipped one of her teeth! :( I freaked and called the dentist. He was really nice and said no self respecting kid doesn't chip a tooth at some point. He asked a bunch of questions about her tooth, all of which my answers to were good. Meaning it sounded like the only real damage to her was superficial. As luck would have it Belle had an appointment for a cleaning the following Monday so he said to bring Moya along and he would file the tooth to make it smooth.

So on Monday I took the girls in and after Belle's cleaning Doctor Dave filed down Moya's tooth. He assured me it doesn't hurt but but she cried a little because she had to be constrained and it was a funny feeling to have that sandpaper on her tooth. After she and Belle both got tooth brushes and big smiles... and no more shaggy chipped tooth! :)

Silly Sister

As I've mentioned one or two times before Moya LOVES her sister. Moys smiles and laughs easily it's true, but Belle can get a laugh out of her in like .03 seconds. This time Moya was being held by Gaga and Belle was flopping on the sofa and it was just busting Moya up.

How Do You Hold a Toy?

Now I usually hold my toys with my hand, but apparently Moya's hands are busy doing other things so she found a creative solution. She would just hold poor Henry the Octopus by his foot in her mouth wherever she goes.

Shake It!

We were getting ready for bed and I sat Moya down in her playpin. We still have it set up so it is raised high and when it is like that if you touch it it will will sway. Moya figured this out and would sit and move up and down to get it to swing. She loved it and would smile and laugh while she did it.

I swear her smile could just take over the world!

Big Sister

Moya and I were playing in the living room in her pin. I had to go to the bathroom so I asked Belle to keep an eye on Moya. She said "sure" offhandedly and I figured that meant she would continue playing oblivious of Moya. :) Which was fine, I knew Moya was safe for a minute in her pin so I really didn't expect Belle to do anything.

So I come back in the room and Belle has gotten in the pin with Moya and is reading her one of her touch-n-feel books and helping her feel the pages. I grabbed the camera to record as much as I could. So precious. I took a moment and told her how sweet that was of her. Moya really loved it too!

Stink Face

So Belle and Noah both have this ability to scrunch up their noses and make the cutest, funniest face. We call it, Stink Face, and it is just so awesome and cute. We had been wondering if Moya would have the same ability. Well sure enough she can. Now I know these photos don't show it well enough but she can do the stinkface... YAY!!! Just wouldn't be the same if she couldn't. :)
